Chad Vieth, OD

OPTOMETRIST & CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Dr. Chad Vieth is the Clinical Director at Independent Vision Group and a trusted optometrist who has served patients across the Chippewa Valley for more than 23 years. His focus on delivering thorough, personalized care has made him a cornerstone of the IVG team and a familiar face to the community.

Dr. Vieth earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1996 and went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2000. He became a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Optometry in 2013, a distinction that reflects his ongoing commitment to clinical excellence.

His passion lies in helping patients achieve clear vision and a better quality of life. As Clinical Director, Dr. Vieth plays a central role in evaluating patients for refractive surgery and guiding them through the process of potentially eliminating their dependence on glasses or contact lenses. Seeing the transformation in patients who pursue vision correction is what drives his work at IVG every day.

Dr. Vieth has been an active member of both the Wisconsin Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association since 2000. Outside of the practice, he is equally committed to the community, volunteering his time as a provider at the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic and staying involved with organizations like Trout Unlimited and Pheasants Forever.
