Dr. Thomas Harvey is a fellowship-trained anterior segment specialist, Board Certified in Ophthalmology and licensed to practice in Wisconsin. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin, and moved to the Chippewa Valley in 2005. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin, did an internship year at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee, completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a one-year surgical fellowship in Cornea, Anterior Segment and Refractive surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
He is the medical monitor for a major intraocular lens manufacturer and often consults with companies in the ophthalmology field. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Wisconsin State Medical Society.
Dr. Harvey also organizes surgical mission trips around the globe, and has sponsored trips for multiple international doctors here in the Chippewa Valley. His knowledge and skill in the treatment of eye disease and refractive errors is well-recognized.
